Nothing gets me excited for fall quite like the perfect trench coat. This cold-weather staple can be worn with so many pieces in your closet.
For this look from Kleveland Clothing, we paired a vintage Gucci trench with a classic white t-shirt, arguably the most versatile piece conceived, and distressed jeans. It's the perfect fall uniform.
With military jackets replacing bombers this season, you can expect to see more of this forest-green color, khaki, camouflage and even black. Military jackets are taking a page from 18th-century Britain and France in their style. Forecasting strong shoulders, brass buttons, rope trim and crisp collars - like this number below, from Gucci's Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show.
When selecting a trench coat this season, pick a shade that compliments your skin tone. The original beige and khaki shades match any complexion.
For warm skin: oranges, reds, golden yellows, olive, deeper turquoise, and red-purples like magenta and orchid shades.
For cool skin: gem colors like sapphire, emerald, amethyst, ruby and deep purples. As well as vivid, bold pinks and reds like shocking pink, cherry and bright rose.
For neutral skin: colors that fall in the middle of the color spectrum such as light peach, dusty pinks, blush tones, placid blue, jade green and cameo green.
